Almost, But Not Yet

Text: John 14:2-3
Jesus is talking to his closest followers in the upper room. He knows that later in the evening he is going to be arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane. They are facing a future that will be filled with suffering and struggle. And he doesn’t offer them a lot of reassurance about their remaining days on this earth, instead, he reminds them this world is not their home.
As we go into the unknown of 2021, we want our directions to come from Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We know where we are going because we are following Jesus.
